Some FAQ’s

General Questions

  • Who will edit my manuscript?

Your manuscript is handled by micro-domain PhD editors with prior publication experience in SCI, Scopus, and other indexed journals. Editors are matched based on subject area, methodology, and journal tier to ensure relevant academic guidance and language refinement. All edits are delivered in tracked-changes format.

  • What makes your service different from other editing companies?

We combine subject-specific PhD expertise, index-aware editing standards, and a milestone-based support model. Our approach focuses on author-led guidance, transparent scope, and ethical publication practices while sharing outcome risk through a clearly defined refund policy.

  • Do you help with journal selection?

Yes. We guide authors by providing a shortlist of suitable journals based on index requirements, journal scope, relevance to the manuscript, and typical review timelines. The final journal selection and submission decision always remains with the author.

  • Do you write the manuscript from scratch?

No. Research Ramp does not write manuscripts on behalf of authors and does not act as the author. We provide author-led academic support, including structural guidance, language editing, clarity improvement, and journal-specific presentation suggestions. Authors retain full responsibility for content, data, and final wording.

  • Can you guarantee publication?

We do not guarantee or influence editorial decisions. However, if a manuscript does not achieve acceptance within the agreed timeline, despite completion of all agreed editing, revision, and resubmission support milestones, we provide a 100% refund of our service fees, excluding APCs paid directly to journals.

  • Do you handle reviewer comments?

Yes. We guide authors in addressing reviewer comments by helping interpret feedback, preparing structured point-by-point response documents, and editing revised sections for clarity and tone. All revisions are reviewed and approved by the author before resubmission.

  • What is the payment structure?

    Payments are milestone-based:

    • 10% at booking
    • 20% after initial manuscript delivery
    • 30% after first-round revision support
    • 40% upon acceptance or completion of the agreed timeline

APCs are paid directly to journals and are not included in service fees.

  • How long does the process take?

Timelines depend on journal review speed and revision cycles. Typical ranges are:

    • SCI journals: 4–8 months
    • Scopus: 1–4 months
    • EI: 1–3 months
    • CNKI / MyCite: 1–2 months

Timelines are indicative and based on journal behavior.

  • Are you compliant with ethics and confidentiality?

Yes. We follow strict ethical and confidentiality standards, including secure file handling, limited editor access, and full author ownership of content and data. We do not fabricate research, manipulate results, or claim authorship.

  • Do you offer discounts?

Yes. Seasonal and academic partner discounts (up to 15%) may be available depending on service tier and collaboration scope. Discounts apply only to service fees.

  • Ethics Statement
