This page sets out how Research Ramp Private Limited ("Research Ramp," "we," "us," "our") collects and uses your information, the terms that govern your use of researchramp.com and ai.researchramp.com (together, the "Site") and our services, and how our refund policy works. By using the Site or engaging our services, you agree to all three sections below.
Manuscripts and academic content you share with us are treated as confidential. They are shared only with the editor(s) assigned to your project on a need-to-know basis, and are not used for any purpose beyond delivering the service you requested. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is available on request.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with PhD editors and specialists within our network solely to deliver your requested service, with service providers who support our operations (analytics, email, payment processing) under confidentiality obligations, and with authorities where required by law.
We use cookies and similar technologies to understand site usage, improve performance, and support advertising campaigns (including Google Ads). You can control cookies through your browser settings.
We retain personal information and manuscript files for as long as needed to deliver our services and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which they are securely deleted or anonymized.
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, withdraw your consent, and request that we limit or restrict how your personal information is processed. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details at the end of this page.
We work with researchers and institutions across India, Malaysia, China, the UAE/Gulf region, the Philippines, South Korea, Ukraine, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and other countries. By using our Site or services, you consent to your information being processed in India and, where necessary to deliver services, by editors located in other countries. Clients also provide explicit consent to this processing by ticking the consent checkbox on our forms. Manuscript data and academic content are processed in India and may, where necessary to provide the requested services, be accessed or processed by editors located in other countries.
If you are located in Malaysia, we process your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, as amended by the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024. You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data, to withdraw your consent, and to limit how your data is processed. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our services are intended for researchers, scholars, and academic professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Research Ramp provides manuscript structuring, language and technical editing, journal selection, submission management, reviewer-response handling, and proofreading support for researchers, scholars, and faculty seeking publication in legitimately indexed journals (Scopus, Web of Science, SCI/SSCI, ESCI, EI Compendex, MyCite, AHCI). Services are delivered through a global network of PhD-qualified editors.
Research Ramp does not ghostwrite manuscripts, does not work with or refer clients to predatory or non-legitimate journals, and does not guarantee acceptance by any specific journal or reviewer. Our role is to strengthen your manuscript, guide journal selection, and manage the submission process professionally and ethically. Our indexing guarantee, where applicable, is described separately in our Refund Policy below.
Fees are quoted and confirmed in writing with each client; they are not published on the Site. Payments for full-service engagements are milestone-based (e.g. an initial booking payment, a payment on first revision, a payment on acceptance, and a final payment on proofreading), as agreed with you in writing before work begins.
You retain full ownership and authorship rights over your manuscript and research. Research Ramp's role is limited to editing, structuring, and submission support services.
We treat all manuscripts and client communications as confidential, as described in our Privacy Policy above. An NDA is available on request.
While we apply professional editorial and submission standards, publication outcomes ultimately depend on journal editors and peer reviewers, who are outside our control. Research Ramp's liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the fees paid for the relevant engagement, except where our Refund Policy provides otherwise.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our Site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Full-service engagements are billed in milestones tied to project progress (booking, first revision, acceptance, and final proofreading). Each milestone payment corresponds to work completed up to that stage.
Where you have engaged our Full Publication Package, Research Ramp guarantees indexed publication of your manuscript. If indexed publication is not achieved within the agreed timeline despite full cooperation from you at each stage, you are entitled to a refund of the service fee as set out in your engagement agreement. Full details and conditions of this guarantee are provided in your Full Publication Package agreement.
Refunds do not apply where a client withdraws from the engagement partway through, declines to act on editor or reviewer guidance, submits the manuscript independently outside our process, or provides materially inaccurate information about the manuscript's status or originality.
To request a refund, contact us at the details below with your project reference. We will review your request against your engagement agreement and respond within a reasonable period.
Approved refunds are processed within a reasonable period following approval, using the original payment method where possible.
